Happy National Dog Day to our beloved pups at Paws & Peers!🐶💙
Mesa Public Schools is proud to utilize the Paws & Peers school therapy dog program. Participating MPS staff and their dogs, also known as paw partners, pass obedience and therapy classes and are tested and approved using a nationally recognized therapy team evaluation. Paws & Peers seeks to meet the social and emotional needs of Mesa Public Schools students and staff. These dogs serve as trusted companions in classrooms, and counseling, nurse, or administrative offices for crisis intervention, behavioral de-escalation, or simply to address stress, anxiety and/or isolation.

Mesa Public Schools' and City of Mesa's first-ever Celebrity Crossing Guard event was an incredible success! 🛑🚶♂️💚
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our crossing guards at the 11 participating schools and the notable public figures who helped champion pedestrian safety this month. Special guests included Spirit the Mustang from Dobson High School, Tommy the Toro from Mountain View High School, D. Baxter the Bobcat from the Arizona Diamondbacks, City of Mesa Mayor John Giles, our very own Superintendent Dr. Andi Fourlis, and many more!

A tradition of excellence💜💛
Mesa High School held its annual Traditions assemblies for its student body this morning. Students heard from members of student council and saw all of the opportunities for extracurricular activities that Mesa High has to offer. Students also watched videos on the nearly 126-year history of Mesa High School and the origin of the slogan, “Carry on.”

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Fiesta Sports Foundation, Fremont Junior High school is now equipped with another life-saving AED! A huge thank you to the Fiesta Sports Foundation for helping us prioritize safety and preparedness in our school!💜
