By 2 a.m. and in the middle of a heavy rain, 150 supervisors, mechanics, drivers, and dispatchers, had 129 buses on their way to various locations, but not without a generous serving of breakfast burritos, cooked by a dispatcher. This month, Westwood High School students celebrated being honored as a Special Olympics National Banner Unified Champion School. Westwood is one of just over 200 schools in the United States to earn this honor.

This past week, the Mix Center at ASU hosted Mesa Public Schools' AIA-sanctioned eSports competition. 🎮
Gammers representing five of our six high schools participated in this experience that enables students to do what they love while developing critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

🏊 Sophia Jahn, senior at Red Mountain High School secured her third consecutive State Championship title in Division I - 50M freestyle.
She clocked an impressive 23.36 seconds to claim the gold medal at the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) State Championships held the first weekend in November at the Skyline High School Aquatic Center. Adding to her achievements, Sophia has verbally committed to extending her athletic and academic pursuits at the esteemed University of Michigan.
